2011 Big Hat Championship Series...

Each season Big Hat Rodeo creates a contestant awards series based on input from contestants, sponsors and rodeo committees. Contestants competing in participating rodeos earn bonus points for each rodeo they compete in and additional points every time they place in any event.
Participating rodeos and contestants alike have reaped benefits from the incentive program. Contestant numbers have risen at the rodeos and the contestants have received nearly $10,000.00 in awards annually.
The 2011 Series rodeos are:
July 2-3 Galena, IL ***Triple Points
July 13 Ottawa, IL
July 23 St. Charles, IL **Double Points
July 30-31 Harvard, IL **Double Points
August 5 Oregon, IL
Aug 19 Pecatonica, IL
Aug 20-21 Elkhorn, WI ***Triple Points
Sept 10 Belvidere, IL
ATTENTION TEAM ROPERS: The winners of each rodeo will receive a certificate from
Running P Ropes for a rope of your choice from their web site. Series Team Roping
Champions will each receive 3 ropes from Running P Ropes.
A special bonus drawing will be made at each rodeo. One lucky competitor will receive
a fuel card.
To qualify for awards you must be a
current member of the IPRA/CSRA
and compete in a minimum of
6 rodeos (5for Team Ropers)
and place in at least 1.

In 2011 there will be "2 double points & 2 triple points rodeos" as well as 2 with double
cash bonuses. The St. Charles, IL and Elkhorn, WI rodeo will pay a $100. cash bonus to each event winner; Galena and Elkhorn are triple points rodeos while St. Charles and Harvard, IL
are both double points rodeos. All remaining rodeos will award a $50. cash bonus to each
event winner.
Series awards include a $500 cash bonus to the Series High Points Total (in one or
multiple events). Other Series awards include custom made belt buckles for all event winners and merchandise awards. A competition bonus of 100 points will be awarded
